KISORO UGANDA: Kisoro businessman Africano Nteziyaremye and his wife have reportedly been shot dead by unknown assailants in the early hours of Sunday, October 18, 2026.
Nteziyaremye, who operated a major business opposite Baby Coach along Mosque Road in Kisoro Municipality, was reportedly returning home with his wife after leaving their business premises when the fatal shooting occurred.
The couple were shot a few minutes before midnight at the gate of their home in Zindiro Village, Northern Division, Kisoro Municipality, while travelling in their Toyota pickup truck.
According to preliminary reports, the assailants were allegedly travelling on a motorcycle before opening fire on the couple’s vehicle as they arrived at their gate.
Police had not yet released an official statement regarding the incident at the time of publication.
The motive behind the shooting and the identities of the assailants remain unknown.
