Metropolitan University Announces Free Bursaries, Health Camp in 10th Anniversary Celebrations

KISORO UGANDA: Metropolitan International University has announced plans to offer free bursaries and organise a free health camp at its Main Campus in Kisoro District as part of activities to mark its 10th anniversary.

Speaking to our reporter on Thursday, Asaba Ronald, the Academic Registrar of the university’s Main Campus in Kisoro, said the anniversary celebrations are being held across all three university campuses in Kisoro, Mbarara and Kampala.

Asaba revealed that the Kisoro Main Campus will host a health camp where members of the community will receive free medical services. He added that the university will also offer free bursaries to interested applicants and well-wishers seeking to join the institution during the anniversary celebrations.

Meanwhile, Asaba urged students to prepare adequately for the forthcoming end-of-semester examinations, which are scheduled to begin on November 16, 2026.

Separately, Ngobi Julius Bebere, the ninth Guild President of the university’s Main Campus, has called on residents of Kisoro District and neighbouring communities to attend the Cultural Gala scheduled to take place at the university premises this weekend.

Bebere said various campus associations will showcase their cultural heritage through different performances and activities during the event. The gala will be held under the theme, “Prevailing Cultural Heritage of Unity and Future Prosperity.”
