Rukiga Savings and Credit Cooperative Society (Rukiga SACCO) has launched a special Member Appreciation Week aimed at recognizing and celebrating members for their contribution to the growth and success of the cooperative.
The week, running from October 5 to 10, 2026, is dedicated to appreciating members for the trust, support and partnership they continue to demonstrate as they work with the SACCO to build a stronger financial future.
As part of the celebrations, new members will be able to register for free by purchasing at least one share worth Shs10,000. Services for children will also be offered free of charge during the appreciation week.
New members who purchase more than 10 shares will receive a 10 percent benefit based on the shares purchased, alongside other special offers intended to encourage saving, investment and membership growth.
According to Innocent Karungi, the Rukiga SACCO Kabale Branch Manager, every saving, investment, loan and financial decision made by members contributes to strengthening the cooperative and promoting economic development.
Karungi said the SACCO’s greatest strength lies in the relationship it has built with its members through trust, support and partnership.
She added that the appreciation week provides an opportunity for the SACCO to celebrate its members and recognize their continued commitment and contribution to the institution.

Meanwhile, Dennis Niwamanya, a Rukiga SACCO officer at the Kabale Branch, said the initiative also seeks to highlight the importance of saving, responsible investment and access to financial services in improving members’ livelihoods.
Niwamanya encouraged members to continue working closely with the SACCO to build a stronger and financially empowered membership.
He said members will benefit from various offers throughout the week, including goodies, rewards and discounted services.
Members have welcomed the initiative, saying it recognizes the important role they play in the growth and development of Rukiga SACCO.
Throughout the week, the SACCO will conduct various activities, offers and services across its branches as part of efforts to demonstrate appreciation for members’ continued commitment and contribution.
